Baker Mayfield Now The Heisman Favorite; Mason Rudolph Making a Push

  • Baker Mayfield is now the +350 favorite, just ahead of Lamar Jackson and Sam Darnold. Oklahoma had a blowout win over Tulane while Louisville got crushed by Clemson at home, and USC struggled at home (again) with Texas.
  • Oklahoma St QB Mason Rudolph put on a clinic at Pitt this weekend and has moved to +700 to win the award. He was listed +3600 before the season.
  • Mississippi St QB Nick Fitzgerald was very efficient in the Bulldogs win over LSU, throwing for 2 TDs and rushing for another 2 TDs. He has already racked up 543 passing yards and 240 rushing yards.
  • FWIW, Bovada (a very square offshore book) has Mayfield listed at +175 with Jackson and Darnold both at +550. You can actually get better odds there on Mason Rudolph, who is +900.
