2017 NFL Oddsmaker Mock Draft

Beginning on April 27th, the 2017 NFL Draft will take place at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is one of the most exciting events on the sports calendar, but it’s also one of the most unpredictable.

Since the college football season ended over three months ago, we have seen the draft stock of players fluctuate tremendously based on their performance in various all-star games, pro days and combines. Even after all this time, there’s no consensus at the top of the draft. Some analysts have argued that the Cleveland Browns should select Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett, while others have advocated for North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky. But what do the oddsmakers think?

Several weeks ago, BetOnline posted a number of NFL Draft prop bets including one which lists Myles Garrett as the odds-on favorite to be selected with the first overall pick. The San Francisco 49ers own the second overall pick, but they’re not expected to select a quarterback despite their apparent need. In fact, BetOnline lists Stanford defensive end Solomon Thomas as the favorite to be selected in that spot.

Trubisky is expected to be the first quarterback off the board, and his stock has been on the rise in recent days. Since Monday, Trubisky’s odds of being selected with the first overall pick have improved from +700 to +275 while the over/under on his draft position has moved from 11.5 to 6.5.
