2016 MLB Season Props

The 2016 MLB season will begin on Sunday, April 3, 2016 when the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals square off in a World Series re-match. With less than a month until the start of the season, sportsbooks have begun posting a litany of prop bets and futures.

We have already discussed the latest Cy Young odds, Home Run Leader Odds, World Series Futures, Win Totals and Divisional odds, but over the weekend two sportsbooks posted a wide array of player-specific props.

BetOnline (an offshore sportsbook) and William Hill (a UK-based bookmaker) both posted prop bets involving the league leader for several major categories. This includes over/unders for the league leader and odds for specific players to league the league in each category.

There are a few large discrepancies between these two sportsbooks, particularly in regards to regular season no-hitters where William Hill has set the total at 3.5 and BetOnline has set the total at 4.5. Bettors could give themselves a solid middle by taking Under 4.5 (+135) at BetOnline and Over 3.5 (-175) at William Hill. For what it’s worth, here is the number of no-hitters by season:

  • 2015: 7
  • 2014: 5
  • 2013: 3
  • 2012: 7
  • 2011: 3
  • 2010: 6

I’m interested in mlb props like Team vs team season wins and first team to 30 wins.
I know William Hill had this last year. What about this year (2016).
I like Cubs vs Sox. Angels vs Dodgers and Yankees vs Mets
Thanks for your reply. I’ll be there Sunday.
