2017-18 NCAAF Bowl Props: Odds for Overtime, Shutouts, Stat Stuffers and More
The 2017-18 College Football Bowl Season is just around the corner and 5Dimes has plenty of prop bets available. For the record, there are 40 bowl games to be played, including the National Championship.
Will any player throw for 6+ TD passes?
Will any player throw for 530+ passing yards?
Will any player finish with 250+ receiving yards?
Will any player rush for 253+ yards?
Will any team win a game by 43+ points?
This prop cashed very early last year when Tulsa beat Central Michigan 55-10 in the Miami Beach Bowl on December 19th. There are only two double-digit spreads this year: FSU -15.5 vs. Southern Miss, and FAU -22.5 vs. Akron, so those would be the best candidates for the ‘Yes’ to cash.
Will any team score 63+ points in a game?
Last year Idaho was the top-scoring team, beating Colorado State 61-50. The games with the highest totals to watch for this year are La Tech/SMU (70), Texas Tech/USF (68) and Auburn/UCF (67). We should get high-scoring affairs and one of those teams could put up 63+ points on their own.
How many games will go to overtime?
Over 2: +115
Under 2: -155
Last year there were two games that went into overtime, and this year the O/U is listed at 2 with juice on the Under. Even though there are a lot of close matchups, teams generally don’t want to play for overtime in bowl games.
Will any game go to double overtime?
Although there were two games that went into overtime last year, neither went into double overtime.
Will any game go to triple overtime?
Will any team be shutout?
Last year there were three teams to finish in single-digits but no shutouts (Iowa 3, Colorado 8, Louisville 9).
There are also O/U props on number of wins for each conference with the ACC leading the way:
|Big Ten||4||Over -160
|Big 12||3||Over -140
|Sun Belt||2||Over +136
Are there any conference win totals or prop bets you see that are worth betting?
