2016 Olympic Rugby Sevens Odds

2016 Olympic Rugby Sevens Odds

The 2016 Summer Olympics will feature an exciting addition that should certainly capture the eyes of American football fans.

Rugby sevens is a seven player variation of rugby, a sport which usually features 15 players per side. Rugby had been included in the Olympics until 1924 and is finally back after nearly a century.

New Zealand is currently atop the Westgate Superbook odds list at 2/1, but the small island nation of Fiji sits right behind them at 9/4. New Zealand won the last Rugby Sevens World Cup in 2013 over England.

The United States isn’t known for their rugby prowess, but they currently sit sixth on the list at 20/1. One familiar name to those who don’t follow rugby is New England Patriots safety Nate Ebner, who may find himself on the Olympic roster this summer.
