Patriots Open as Biggest Favorite of the 2017 NFL Season
Losses to the Chiefs, Panthers and stealing a win over the Texans seem like a lifetime ago for the Patriots. New England has ripped off six straight wins while giving up only 12.5 points per game over that span.
With the Patriots streaking and facing a flailing Dolphins team in Week 12, oddsmakers opened the Pats as 17-point home favorites, the largest spread of the season.
In fact, this is the biggest NFL spread since December of 2016 and should it close at this number, would only be the 13th game with spread of 17 points or more since we started tracking NFL data in 2003.
