Aaron Rodgers Retakes Sole Possession of Best MVP Odds

Tom Brady continues to put up great stats, but the Patriots’ defense is not doing him any favors. With the team falling to 2-2, Brady has fallen from 4/1 to 5/1, while Aaron Rodgers retakes the top spot at 3/1.

Rodgers is towards the top of the leaderboard for most passing statistics and the Packers are 3-1. He’s taken a mini roller-coaster ride, as you may notice that his current odds are actually the same as they were after week 1.

Matt Stafford also bounces back despite throwing for just over 200 yards and zero touchdowns in a win over the Vikings. He has the 9th best passer rating in the league, but the Lions have been one of the better stories so far.

One big overreaction in my mind is Russell Wilson moving from 40/1 to 10/1 after the Seahawks 46-18 win over the Colts—a game in which he threw two picks. The Seahawks have just two wins this season, coming against the 49ers and the Colts. I have no idea how a so-so performance against one of the worst defenses in the league moved his odds so much.

Hey now, what do we have here? DeShaun Watson comes out of nowhere with a bonkers game against the Titans and is all of the sudden 16/1. His Offensive Rookie of the Year odds also skyrockted from +750 to -150. Good call making Tom Savage the game 1 starter, though.

Check back next week to see if Rodgers can hold onto the top spot and follow us @SportsInsights for NFL betting information throughout the week.
