2015-16 Odds to Win La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1

With most European leagues setting to kickoff soon, we’re ready to take a look at the odds to win the 2015-16 La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 titles. Unfortunately in recent years we’ve seen the same teams at the top with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and PSG, but that doesn’t totally dismiss every other team– Atletico Madrid won the 2013-14 La Liga Title after opening the season as 100:1 longshots.

Below shows the odds to win each major league at Bovada and we’ll continue to update as the season progresses (It’s important to note that we’re using a squarer book like Bovada rather than a sharp book like 5Dimes to show how shaded the top teams’ odds really are).

Odds to win 2015-16 La Liga (Spain):

Club August 6 June 5
Barcelona -140 -133
Real Madrid +150 +150
Atletico Madrid +1400 +1400
Sevilla +5000 +4000
Valencia +5000 +15000
Villarreal +15000 +25000
Athletic Bilbao +25000 +30000
Celta Vigo +50000 +50000
Levante +50000 +100000
Real Sociedad +50000 +50000
Malaga +50000 +50000
Espanyol +100000 +50000
Rayo Vallecano +100000 +100000
Deportivo La Coruna +100000 +100000
Real Betis +150000 N/A
Granada +250000 N/A
Eibar +250000 N/A
Getafe +500000 +100000
Las Palmas +500000 N/A
Sporting Gijon +500000 N/A

Last year Barcelona won their 23rd league title in their history and are the early favorites to repeat this season. No surprise that Real Madrid is right behind and only two other teams, Atletico +1400 and Sevilla +4000, seem to have a realistic chance to contend. We’ll go with the early favorites of Barcelona to repeat as champions in 2015-16.

Odds to win 2015-16 Serie A (Italy):

Club August 6 June 20
Juventus -175 -225
Roma +650 +700
Napoli +900 +700
AC Milan +1200 +1000
Inter Milan +1200 +1200
Lazio +1600 +1400
Fiorentina +3300 +2200
Genoa +25000 +50000
Sampdoria +25000 +25000
Torino +50000 +25000
Palermo +50000 +50000

Atalanta +100000 +100000
Empoli +100000 +100000
Sassuolo +100000 +100000
Bologna +150000 N/A
Chievo +200000 +100000
Carpi +500000 N/A
Frosninone Calcio +500000 N/A

Last season’s title race was expected to be pretty close but Juventus were the clear-cut best squad all year. They opened as -225 favorites to repeat and as long as they can hold on to key players like Paul Pogba and bring in some new talent, they look to be in prime position to win it again. However, a key signing for either Napoli or Roma could improve their odds significantly.

Odds to win 2015-16 Bundesliga (Germany):

Club August 6 June 5
Bayern Munich -1000 -1000
VfL Wolfsburg +1600 +1600
Borussia Dortmund +2000 +1600
Monchengladbach +4000 +2800
Bayer Leverkusen +4000 +3300
Schalke 04 +5000 +5000
Hoffenheim +25000 +15000
VfB Stuttgart +50000 +20000
Werder Bremen +50000 +20000
Augsburg +50000 +10000
Hannover 96 +50000 +25000
FC Koln +50000 +25000
Eintracht Frankfurt +50000 +25000
Mainz 05 +50000 +25000
Hamburg +50000 +25000
Hertha Berlin +75000 +50000
Ingolstadt +100000 +75000
Darmstadt +250000 +100000

Just like last season, the Bundesliga title may already be won without even playing a game. At -1000 title favorites, Bayern Munich would take a colossal collapse to not repeat. Unfortunately it’s hard to see any other team even coming close to contending in Germany this season.

Odds to win 2015-16 Ligue 1 (France):

Club August 6 June 20
PSG -750 -800
Lyon +1100 +1200
Monaco +1200 +800
Marseille +2000 +2000
Saint Etienne +10000 +6600
Bordeaux +10000 +8000
Lille +20000 +15000
Monpelier +25000 +25000
Rennes +30000 +25000
Nantes +50000 +25000
Nice +50000 +25000
Bastia +75000 +25000
Lorient +75000 +50000
Toulouse +75000 +50000
Reims +100000 +25000
Angers +100000 +50000
Caen +100000 +50000
Guingamp +100000 +50000
Troyes +100000 +50000
Ajaccio +150000 +50000

France is much of the same as Germany, with PSG the massive -750 favorites to win their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title. PSG spend tons of cash and have constantly been rumored to acquiring Cristiano Ronaldo in the offseason. Even if this is a pipe dream, right now there’s not a squad in France that can contend for the title with PSG.
