2014 Preakness Odds

The 139th Preakness Stakes will be taking place this Saturday, May 17th at 6:20 PM ET.  After winning the Kentucky Derby, California Chrome has emerged as a clear favorite to win the Preakness this year and is currently listed at +225 to win the Triple Crown (via Sportsbook).

The table below compares the odds to win the Preakness from earlier in the week at both Sportsbook.com and Bovada.

This level of variation between oddsmakers is one of the reasons we encourage all of our customers to have access to at least three different sportsbooks — one square (i.e. Bovada or Sports Interaction), one sharp (i.e the Greek or CRIS) and one reduced juice (i.e 5Dimes or Pinnacle). If you’re looking to bet some aspect of the Preakness but can’t pick a winner, California Chrome is currently a heavy -600 favorite to finish in the Top 3.

The table below shows the odds for each horse to finish in the top 3 at Bovada.
