Bears-Dolphins a Popular Target of Early Sharp Betting Action

Week 5 of the 2018 NFL season is barely in the books, and sharps are already jumping on early line value for Week 6.

While the Chiefs-Patriots game on Sunday Night Football (8:20 p.m. ET) will end up as the most heavily bet game of the week, Bears-Dolphins (1 p.m. ET) is also attracting heavy action, namely from professional bettors.

The Bears opened as 2-point road favorites at BookMaker and are receiving 74% of spread tickets to this point.

According to Sports Insights’ Bet Signals, sharps are also getting down on Chicago, highlighted by two Steam Moves triggered on the Bears in the past 16 hours.

Steam refers to sudden and uniform line movement across the sports betting market that is usually the result of respected bettors getting down on the same side of a game at multiple sportsbooks, all at once.

With sharp money jumping on the Bears, oddsmakers have adjusted this line up to a consensus of Chicago -3.

Not only is the line up to -3, but the vig is -125 at BookMaker, a shop known for taking professional action.

This means the book is already quite heavy on Chicago and is leaning closer to -3.5 than -2.5.
