New York Mets +100 over Atlanta Braves

New York currently sits eight games behind division-leading Philadelphia and hopes a strong performance from starter Jonathon Niese (4-5, 3.92 ERA) will help spark a run to the top of the NL East.

Division-rival Atlanta will counter with Derek Lowe (3-4, 4.03 ERA) who has struggled in his last eight starts, posting a 1-2 record and 5.31 ERA over that span.

Atlanta opened as a -115 favorite at Pinnacle and is currently receiving 71% of all moneyline wagers. Despite the lopsided betting percentages, the line has dropped to -104.

This reverse-line movement suggests sharp money has taken the Mets and Sports Insights’ Betting Systems agree. A Steam Move at Pinnacle (+25.84 units) was triggered on New York, indicating there is value on the home underdog.

Due to the one-sided betting, this game is also a MLB Square Play candidate, a Betting System that is +25.3 units on the season.

At the time of publication, two sportsbooks were offering New York at +100, so we’ll shop for the best line, bet against the public and grab the Mets as a slight home underdog.
