Due to popular demand, SportsInsights is pleased to bring our Members a March Madness Edition of our popular Sports Marketwatch publication.  Note that we’ll be publishing editions of the March Madness MarketWatch through the end of the Tournament.

Welcome to the Sports Marketwatch – March Madness Edition, where SportsInsights gives sports fans unprecedented insight into the sports marketplace. If you want to know what is really happening on the sportsbook side, you now have an all-access pass with Sports Marketwatch

The staff at SportsInsights.com speaks directly with the line managers at some of the sports betting industry’s largest sportsbooks about which games the public is chasing and the Sharps are pounding.  We’ll look at what’s in store for the upcoming NCAAB games.

Sports Marketplace – March Madness – Elite 8 (Saturday and Sunday)

Recapping NCAA Tournament Action

Davidson won their game outright, to bring the MarketWatch record to 7-6 during the NCAA Tournament.  Davidson is the poster child for this year’s upset-filled March Madness tourney. North Carolina, on the other hand, continued its dominance, trouncing an overmatched Washington State team.

Sports MarketWatch – Elite Eight – Sports Marketplace

In today’s Elite Eight match-ups, the sports marketplace statistics do not currently reflect some of the indicators that we look for.  The betting public likes North Carolina to beat Louisvilleversus the spread – but is fairly evenly split at 60% on North Carolina and 40% on Louisville.

UCLA still hasn’t impressed people and is only capturing 45% of the bets as a favorite versus Xavier.  We don’t see strong evidence of “smart money” on either match-up on Saturday.  If you wanted to use similar approaches to “get a lean” on Saturday’s games, we would lean to Louisville.

It’s too early to get an indication on Sunday’s match-ups.  Once the lines come out and SportsInsights starts collecting marketplace stats, we’ll be back with another MarketWatch – especially if the indicators highlight a game.

Games to Watch (7-6)

We’ll be back tomorrow if any games appear interesting in the NCAA Elite Eight Sports Marketplace.  Read above to get an overview of today’s sports market action.

It should be another exciting NCAA Tournament for the sports marketplace.  Keep Sports Marketwatch picks handy and your browser pointed to SportsInsights.com for the latest real-time updates, using our exclusive Sports Investing tools.

We’ll be back soon with a new edition of the Sports Marketwatch – March Madness Edition.

Enjoy the games!
