Sports Marketwatch – NCAA Basketball Edition
Our last edition of Marketwatch finally brought us above even on the season, and there’s no looking back. UNC Greensboro was down by 7 points at the half after shooting just 22.9% from the field, but they outscored Tennessee Chattanooga 40-20 in the second half on the way to an easy cover. The Spartans won 62-49.

Cal Poly S.L.O. +8.5 over Cal Santa Barbara
The Gauchos of Santa Barbara, coming off wins against CS Riverside and CS Fullerton, will be looking for their third straight at home tonight against the visiting Mustangs of Cal Poly. The teams are currently tied for second place in the Big West conference at 5-2, and the winner will be set to push Pacific for the top spot. Cal Poly are on a 3-game winning streak of their own, including a strong 11-point victory at Long Beach State. The same Long Beach State team crushed UC Santa Barbara by 20 at home, so the Mustangs’ expectations will be high in spite of the tough road conditions.
Santa Barbara opened as 9-point favorites and are receiving 52% of early spread bets, as well as 75% of moneyline wagers and 80% of parlays and teasers. Despite this strong Public backing, the line has dropped a point at a number of books. We found the likely culprit: a Steam Move on Cal Poly S.L.O. from our best performer at this point in the season, ABC (+18.82 Units Won). An extra half point is available at a few books, and we suggest you go grab it.
