Roy Oswalt came up short last week against San Francisco and Tim Lincecum. Oswalt gave up only two earned runs through seven innings, but got very little support from an Astros lineup that could muster only one run against Lincecum and closer Brian Wilson.

Sports MarketWatch – MLB Games to Watch

Tampa Bay +102 over Boston Red Sox

In tonight’s game, a beat-up Boston team returns home to take on AL East rival Tampa Bay. The Red Sox have played very well lately, winning 19 of their last 27 games, but stars Dustin Pedroia and Victor Martinez were placed on the disabled list during last weekend’s series with San Francisco.

After a scorching start to the season, the Rays, losers of eight of their last 11 games, have come back to the pack in the AL East and currently sit three games behind the division-leading New York Yankees.

Boston opened as a -135 favorite at Olympic and is currently receiving 73% of moneyline wagers. Sports Insights’ Betting Systems have found value on the public underdog, triggering one Smart Money Play at Pinnacle (+5.17 units) and one Steam Move at BetOnline (+10.7 units) on Tampa Bay. We like fading big public favorites, especially when good plays are coming down on the underdog.
