Recapping Last Week

We went against Jimmer Fredette and the BYU Cougars last week, as we took a “live home dog” with Wyoming getting 14.5 points.  Wyoming was able to keep the game close and covered the spread as BYU won the game 69-62.

Louisville (+4.5) over Notre Dame

The Big East Conference is full of ranked teams, and we have another big matchup tonight.  Notre Dame has climbed the rankings all the way up to number 7 after reeling off five straight wins, including an upset win over Pittsburgh, which was highlighted in an earlier Marketwatch edition.  Ben Hansbrough continues to lead Notre Dame with 17.2 points and 4 assists per game, and he will try to help the Irish stay undefeated (14-0) at home.

Louisville is in the midst of a brutal stretch of five games where they face four ranked teams, three of them on the road.  They have played these games close thus far with a 1-point double overtime win over UConn, a 3-point loss at Georgetown, and a 4-point win over Depaul on Saturday.  Louisville is facing some injury trouble with leading scorer Preston Knowles battling a hamstring injury, but he is expected to play tonight.

Notre Dame’s recent winning streak has most bettors buying in, as they are currently receiving 75% of bets for tonight’s game.  Sports Insights has tracked a CRIS Smart Money move (75-64 +4.25 units won) on Louisville and the betting percentages are ideal for our contrarian strategy.  Let’s make the unpopular play, and take Louisville and the points in a tough road game.
