Sports Marketwatch – NCAA Basketball Edition

In our most recent edition of Marketwatch, Wake Forest rebounded from a pummeling in Durham with a 13-point victory over North Carolina in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels had no answer for the Demon Deacons’ tandem of guards Ishmael Smith and C.J. Harris, who combined to score 40 of the team’s 82 points.

NC Greensboro -1.5 over Tennessee Chattanooga

Although NC Greensboro’s 3-15 record isn’t going to impress anybody, their schedule certainly should. Eight of the Spartans’ eleven non-conference games this season have come against Duke, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Akron, Richmond, Wake Forest, N.C. State and Maryland. Chattanooga heads in Greensboro looking to bounce back from their last game, a 90-66 loss to College of Charleston.

NC Greensboro opened as a one-point favorite at CRIS and the line has grown to -2, even though they are only receiving 31% of spread bets. SportsInsights’ Betting Systems have jumped all over the Spartans, triggering one positive Smart Money play and two positive Steam Moves, one each at CRIS (+10.9 units) and ABC (+21.8 units), on Greensboro. We’ll follow these moves, fade the public and grab the Spartans at -1.5.
