NCAA Football Betting Trends – 9/10/2010

The public is favoring road teams in many of the big games in this second weekend of NCAA football, creating some lopsided games that we have broken down for your viewing pleasure.

Tonight, our Betting Trends have West Virginia getting 80% of the public bets in spread bets. West Virginia was giving 13 points in Pinnacle’s opening line. The line has bounced around a bit, but is now sitting at -12.5. Our systems–particularly Smart Money–have been really lighting up this game, going against the public, on Marshall.

Saturday’s games too, have some big numbers, lopsided spread percentages and reverse line movement. Florida State, Alabama and Michigan all have the public backing them by more than 70% in spread bets, while Miami (FL) is getting a respectable 62%. The public seems to be pushing the line in the Miami (FL) vs. Ohio State game, but we are seeing some promising indicators (reverse line movement) of sharp money on Oklahoma and Notre Dame. We are getting some good plays coming through on our betting systems as well for these games. We are also seeing some signs of reverse line movement from Alabama, but with no support from our system plays with positive units we are content to keep an eye on this one.

The table bellow shows a breakdown of this week’s most lopsided games:
