Different World Series Angles

Different World Series Angles

Please check out this New York Times article by the authors (Carlton Chin & Jay Granat) of one of the books we have reviewed.  We like these analyses because they often give different angles on playoff match-ups.  And as a result, they sometimes give reasons for “live dogs” to surprise the public favorites.  This is another example:

In particular:

  • The article leans towards SF slightly.
  • Texas is a visiting favorite in game one — and is an overall series favorite.
  • The talk is all about Cliff Lee and his historic playoff performances.
  • The public is on visiting Texas to the tune of 72% of the bets.
