Contradicting Plays

In yesterday’s post the team at SportsInsights highlighted some of our top books from our Steam Moves and Smart Money plays. These moves guide us in selecting the Best Bets for any given sport. However, sometimes these plays can clash as multiple plays are triggered on the same game.

The inter-league series finale between the Los Angeles Angels at New York Mets is a prime example of a Contradicting Play. The home team has  triggered a Steam Move at our Bet365 book with an impressive record of 22-14 (+8.9 Units). The away team, not to be outdone, triggered a Pinnacle steam move (the most profitable book of the MLB season thus far) with a record of 221-197 (22.23 Units).  If one were so inclined to wager on this game, SI.com recommends taking the team with the better performing sportsbook, however, when comprising our Best Bets the team at SportsInsights will shy away from this action altogether.
