2015 Belmont Stakes Odds

American Pharoah ran away with a victory at the Preakness Stakes as the -125 favorite and will look to complete the last leg of the Triple Crown — the June 6th running of the 147th Belmont Stakes.

The following table displays the current Belmont Stakes odds and will be updated continuously until the start of the race:

Dortmund opened with the second best odds to win the Belmont following the Preakness but will not be participating in the race. This could be in part because the Belmont is 12 furlongs long (1.5 miles), slightly longer than the Preakness which is 9.5 furlongs long (1.1875 miles).

Last year it was California Chrome who won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes but couldn’t complete the Triple Crown, finishing 4th in the Belmont Stakes. This year American Pharoah was listed around +900 to win the Triple Crown prior to the Kentucky Derby, and +300 prior to the Preakness. With the first two legs complete, he’s now at -150 to be the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.

Since we first posted these odds, four horses have withdrawn from the field: Carpe Diem (+1600), Divining Rod (+2000), Conquest Curlinate (+3000) and War Story (+3000). That means that there are now just eight horses remaining — the smallest field since Rags to Riches defeated six competitors in 2007.

If you bet American Pharoah to win the Triple Crown prior to the Kentucky Derby or Preakness Stakes, are you hedging your bets for the Belmont Stakes? Feel free to leave your thoughts and comments below.
