2013-14 NHL Futures Movement

The NHL trade deadline for the 2013-14 season passed yesterday afternoon at 3 PM eastern, and as expected there were a flurry of trades including several prominent players. Among the notable names dealt were: Martin St. Louis, Ryan Callahan, Jaroslav Halak, Thomas Vanek, Marian Gaborik, Tim Thomas and Roberto Luongo.

The table below, with data taken from Bovada, displays the movement in the futures market including odds from before the season, days before the trade deadline, and the current post-deadline odds.

As you can see the biggest movement includes the Flyers (who moved from +2500 to +3300 after trading D Andrej Meszaros), Rangers (who moves from +2500 to +2000 after acquiring F Martin St. Louis) and Vancouver (who moved from +3300 to +5000 after dealing G Roberto Luongo and D Rafael Diaz).
