Contradicting Plays
There are times, due to the nature of line movement, when SportsInsights' Betting Systems will trigger moves on different sides of the same game. For instance, a positive Steam Move will say to play on one team, while another Steam Move or Smart Money Play will contradict the original move and suggest you play on their opponent. In situations like these, SportsInsights recommends playing on the side with the better performing sportsbook record.
In the example below, Hawaii vs. Fresno State, the Bet365 Smart Money Play (+10.92 units) has a better record than the Grande Steam Move (+0.1 units). As a result, a player should follow the Smart Money Play and take Hawaii.

There are also situations where contradicting moves come from sportsbooks with very similar records. In the example below, the moves are very close. Therefore, we recommend staying away from this game. However, if you still like one team, then by all means make your play, just don't put too much emphasis on these moves.

Remember, SportsInsights specializes in sports information. Our Betting Systems allow you to track line movement and decide for yourself whether you want to play on a game. For those of you who don't want to sort through these moves, make sure to check out our Best Bets. These summarize the best-performing plays, hand picked by the Sports Insights staff from our portfolio of sports betting systems. You can think of it as an "easy-to-use" executive summary of the day's most profitable plays.
