Steam Moves are defined as sudden line movement across the entire sports betting marketplace. "Steam" occurs when there is a sudden overload of money placed at multiple locations. Steam in most cases occurs due to betting groups, betting syndicates, and a few key players with the resources to "get down heavily" at multiple locations, all at once. We record these dramatic line moves and which sportsbook "initiated" or "triggered" the steam move. Undoubtedly there are sportsbook that set the market and sportsbook that follow the market. Steam Move betting systems allow member to know which moves to follow and which moves to fade. Read SportsInsights.com's introductory article on our "
Steam Moves and First to Move" features.

When following the Steam Moves betting strategy, it's extremely important to factor in the triggering sportsbook's record. This section lists the record of every triggering sportsbook. The most important aspect of any sportsbook's record is the Units Won. Simply multiply your average bet size by the Units Won to calculate the amount of money you'd win by following that sportsbook's plays. For example, if the Units Won is +6.5 and your average bet size is $50, you'd be up $325 following that sportsbook's plays. (6.5 x $50 = $325)
