Michigan +2 over Northwestern
Michigan rebounded from a one-point loss to rival Michigan State by easily
defeating Iowa on Saturday. Northwestern's most recent loss also came at
the hands of Michigan State. Forward Josh Shurna poured in 31 points in
the game, but the Wildcats still came up nine points short against the
Spartans.
This game opened as a pick at CRIS and public betting has pushed
Northwestern to a 1-point favorite. The Wildcats are currently receiving
74% of spread wagers, 68% of moneyline wagers and 64% of parlay wagers,
yet SportsInsights' Betting Systems have found value on the Wolverines.
A Smart Money play was triggered on Michigan at WagerWeb (4-0, +3.64
units), giving us the confidence to fade the heavy public favorite and
take the points. Many books have this as a 1.5-point game, but a handful
are still offering a full two. Make sure to shop around and grab the
extra half-point.
