Golden State Warriors +6 over Los Angeles Lakers

After winning nine-straight games, the Lakers have lost their last two and currently sit 3.5 games behind the Spurs for first place in the Western Conference.

With four games remaining on their schedule, the Warriors have already been eliminated from playoff contention and now look to build momentum as they look towards the 2011-12 season. Although they currently sit 10 games under .500, Golden State has been very solid at home, posting a 24-14 record this year.

Los Angeles opened as a 7.5-point favorite at Pinnacle and is currently receiving 76% of spread bets and 73% of moneyline wagers. Despite the heavy public pounding, the line has dropped two full points to -5.5 at many of themarket-setting sportsbooks tracked by Sports Insights, suggesting sharp money is taking the home underdogs.

Sports Insights’ Betting Systems agree, triggering Steam Moves at 5Dimes (+9.02 units) and Pinnacle (+16.02 units) on the Warriors, convincing us to fade the significant public favorite and take Golden State and the points.
