New York Mets +101 over New York Yankees

In our 4th of July edition of Marketwatch, we’re highlighting a subway series as the Yankees and Mets begin a three-game set tonight at Citi Field. The Yankees, who come in fresh off a sweep of the Brewers, are the hottest team in baseball, winning 15 of their last 18 games.

The Mets have also been playing well recently, losing only two of the previous eight games.

The Yankees opened as a -130 favorite at CRIS and are receiving 75% of runline bets, 66% of moneyline bets and 76% of parlay wagers. The Bronx Bombers continue to be a favorite of the betting public, yet the line has dropped to -112, where it currently sits at CRIS.

This reverse-line movement has caused Sports Insights’ Betting Systems to trigger a Smart Money Play at CRIS (+0.36 units) and a Steam Move at Grande (+6.93 units) on the Mets.

At the time of publication, most books were offering different prices for this game, so be sure to shop for the best line, follow the sharp money and take the Mets in the first game of this weekend’s subway series.
