Kansas City Royals
After taking the Royals in the last edition of Marketwatch, this week we
will go against them and take the Twins.
Wednesday’s matchup will feature
Carl Pavano (8-13, 4.48 ERA) going against Bruce Chen (12-8, +3.98 ERA).
At least we think it will be Bruce Chen. There are reports that the Red
Sox are looking to trade for the veteran southpaw. For that reason, we
recommend taking action rather than the listed pitchers if you have the option.
At the time of publication, only 25% of moneyline bets are taking the Twins.
This is not surprising as the Twins will end up with the worst record in the
American League and have only won 3 of their past 23 games. Meanwhile the
Royals have been playing well and have won 11 of their past 15. This
public perception that the Royals are playing better than the Twins will likely
keep the betting percentages lopsided.
Sports Insights has also tracked a Smart Money alert at Diamond (15-10, +8.27
units won) indicating some sharp money on the home dogs.
