Sports MarketWatch – MLB Games to Watch

Philadelphia Phillies +116 over New York Yankees

In tonight's game, Roy Halladay (8-4, 1.96 ERA) returns to New York to take on the Yankees, a team he knows very well from his days in Toronto. Doc has dominated the Yankees throughout his career, posting an 18-6 record with a 2.81 ERA in 35 starts. The Yanks counter with their own ace, CC Sabathia (6-3, 4.01 ERA). Sabathia has struggled a bit this season, but pitched well against the Phillies in the 2009 World Series, posting a 3.29 ERA.

New York opened as a -124 favorite at Pinnacle and has dropped slightly to -121. The public seems to be split in this game, with the Yankees receiving 63% of runline bets while the Phillies are a slight moneyline favorite, currently garnering 55% of those wagers. Even though the public percentages have not identified a favorite, Sports Insights' Betting Systems have found value on Philadelphia and Halladay, triggering a Smart Money Play at Bet Jamaica (31-26, +6.7 units). There are still multiple sportsbooks offering the Phillies in the +110 to +115 range, so do a bit of line shopping and grab Philadelphia at the best price available.
