Hi,
I have a request to improve your sites effectiveness for me...I really want to be able to sort out stats when it comes to your square and smart money plays. I want to be able to go deeper into these plays to see what situations may be most effective.
For example...I want to see how "smart money move" underdogs (and only underdogs) are performing ATS the past month in the NBA when suggested as a smart money play. The overalll record at Olympic posted now maybe 11-11 for "smart money moves"... but further disection of this statistic may tell us that when the move was on an underdog it was 11-2, but on favorites was 0-9. Being able to sort out this type of info would cut my paperwork down a ton. I would like to be able to sort this type of information for totals, favs, dogs, home, away, etc...
This way customers can see if money moves are more effective when betting overs or unders, favorites or dogs, or home or away teams...etc... A sortable database (of sorts) that allows us to deeper investigate the smart and square moves based on their situations.
Otherwise I have to go back through all of your listed plays myself and keep records as to how favorites are doing, overs are doing etc....
Thanks,
Michael

This is a great site with a full of valuable information that must have to handicape the sports games. However, I find that the injury information is not a live information which is a very important piece that can not be missed, especially in NBA that I know of the game decision starter status, and the other information that I wish if can be added to the archives option that will list all the betting information that is categorized for each of the indivisual team beside the past daily listed games. Keep up the great work SI.... many thanks

one area of your FAQ indicates that all percentages are "percentages of bets" (changed 3/2005) whereas this later question & answer indicate that only 2 books give you this information:
How is the "number of bets" statistic calculated?
...The "number of bets" statistic is the total number of bets placed on that game. Bet items include any wager on the spread, moneyline, parlay, teaser, or O/U. SportsInsights.com gathers the "number of bets" stats from OasisCasino.com, and CaribSports.com ONLY...
can you please clarify. to the charts indicate quantity of money or quantity of bets on each side? Sports Insights
We receive wagering statistics from 6 online sportsbook.
Wagering statistics included:
% of bets on the Spread
% of bets on the Moneyline
% of bets on the Total
We receive the "# of bets" data from ONLY TWO OF THE SIX SPORTSBOOKS, Oasis and Carib.
The charts represent the % of bets NOT THE % OF MONEY.

We changed the way we calculate the bankroll number. Originally it was based on $100 bets, now it's based on $50. This is part of a larger move towards a new feature coming out next week called the "performance charts". Basically we chart each strategies performance over the last 2+ years.

I'm a big fan of the program and an avid user. One area of frustration though is the "smart money" green box. Is there an explanation of how to read the smart money plays. You have one of the most helpful websites around. It was great when you showed the money% , it is a shame you are no longer showing that. Please continue to see if you can bring that back. While everyone is entitled to make a buck, charging for each sport and level is overboard. Sports Insights Once again I'll state that it was not our decision to stop offering the money data. It was our sportsbooks. We are at the mercy of our contributing sportsbooks.
The information and analysis found on SportsInsights.com represents the hard work and determination of a team of industry insiders and web developers. The stats and features we provide to our members are some of the most powerful sports handicapping information ever developed. We have knowingly kept our rates well below the market price in hopes of growing SportsInsights.com while sacrificing revenue. We wanted the info and results to speak for itself. We hope our lower rates helped members evaluate the value of our information while increasing their win percentages. Sites that offer information of a lesser caliber charge 10 to 20 times our current rates.
We believe the information we provide our members with is the best in sports information industry. Unfortunately, in order for SportsInsights.com to continue to grow and bring members new pioneering sports betting analysis we are forced to raise our rates. In a perfect world we would give the information away for free, but the reality is that SportsInsights.com, like any business, must take in more revenue then it spends. We thank all members for their continued support.

What is this site doing with the money column? One minute you have it the next minute it is gone. You got to get your act together with this. This is one of the main tools a lot of cappers rely on. Please get this corrected. Sports Insights
No other site has ever offered betting data from online sportsbooks. We are still offering the Moneyline statistics. The percentage of money (dollars) statistics is not likely to come back anytime soon. This was a decision made on the sportsbook side. It is still easy to pinpoint wiseguy action by monitoring both the line movement and betting % data.

Just two days ago, you responded to my email by explaining that Money % was % of money bet on each team and that you would be trying to get that info from all books, as opposed to just two. Now, today, it says Moneyline %. What is the deal, and how can I get the % of money bet on each team. I am willing to pay extra for it. Sports Insights We've received a lot of emails concerning the "Money" stat. There has been a lot of confusion as to what the “Money” statistics tracks. Originally, Oasis and Sportbet were providing us with the actual percentage of dollars on one team vs the other in terms of the spread bet. This statistics appeared in the "Money" column. Yesterday at the request of the oddsmaker at Oasis and Sportbet we discontinued tracking the dollar percentages. Oasis and Sportbet have agreed to allow us to track the percentage of bets wagered on the Moneyline. This info now appears in the "Moneyline" column.
Hopefully, this clarifies any confusion.

in describing your square info plays ,ou say you have access to the exact amount of money placed on each side...how do we get that info? all we get is the % or am i missing something..thanks... Sports Insights Premium members are unable to view exact dollar amount info. SportsInsights.com contacts our contributing sportsbooks and they provide us with the exact dollar amounts. We then post the day's top Square Plays on the Square Plays Info page.

I have tried to utilize the mobile feature but it has no direction in how it works. For exampel. when I download the file it asks what software to use to open it. The computer cannot figure it out and I have no idea how to do it (my software however is very up to date). Please advise. Thanks... Hello SI, just a bit curious about the upcoming baseball season. I've noticed over the past week that I can play fairly consistantly on the point spread lines @ -110 (used as an example only). If 75% of the public is on a side there's a good shot the other side might win. But how would something like that work on baseball? For example, if the line is -175 (opening) and 85% to 90% were betting the favorite, shouldn't the line actually be going up to -180, or higher? In fact, if this occurs and the line actually drops to -170 or lower, wouldn't that mean that some heavier dollars are coming in on the dog? Just trying to learn how to interput the data. I know there are several examples of how there are several different ways this can occur. I'm sure the answer can get really complicated and lengthy. Thanks in advance for trying to clear the air. Sports Insights Kenneth,
Thanks for the feedback. First off, you should be taking advantage of reduced betting, http://www.sportsinsights.com/reducedjuice.asp , laying -105 instead of -110. You’ll thank me for this. Yes, baseball works the exact same way. Look for lines that are moving in the wrong direction of the bet %, but we caution members to be careful with evaluating heavy favorites, since they tend to attract only Underdog action.
