Moving Today's Market
Today, Lebron James is moving the
pizza market—this time at the expense of Papa John's Pizza Inc. It turns out
that a Papa John's franchise in Washington D.C. made and distributed
"crybaby" T-shirts decrying James during the Wizards' shameless
mugging of the King during their opening round loss to Cleveland. Irate Papa
John's franchisees in Ohio cut a deal with the mother company to sell large,
one-topping pizzas for only 23 cents—a tribute to the James' jersey number. Right
now, 86 Papa John's stores based in Ohio are selling hundreds of 23-cent pizzas
to block-long lines of Cavs fans and other hungry souls. Word to Papa John:
don't tug on the King's crown.
Both NBA playoff games are
garnering attention tonight. Cleveland tries to get on the board in Boston
after narrowly losing a sloppily-played Game 1. The Celts are favored by
8.5. In the Alamo, the Spurs will try to avoid going down 3 – 0 vs. New
Orleans. They are currently the 7-point choice.

Game 801 Cleveland @ Boston
Despite
squeaking out a narrow win in the series opener, the Boston Celtics have been
on the receiving end of four Smart Money Moves at -8/-9. Looks like some
players are betting that the Celtics actually might make a few shots tonight,
after a dismal outing from the floor Tuesday.
