ESPN & SportsInsights Review NFL Week 7

DURHAM, NC
– October 25, 2010 – ESPN’s Chad Millman, who covers sports betting, interviewed SportsInsights President, Dan Fabrizio, about NFL Week 7.  In addition to the week’s games, Chad Millman wrote:

“…betting is an activity where wisdom of the crowds does not exist. In fact, it's a sure-fire way to lose in the long run. The public is swayed by recent scores and high profile teams, not by the value that might exist in the point spread.

I'm often asked to write about websites that are helpful when I'm doing research for the column…   But I recently came across a site that I've found myself going back to a few times a day the past week or so. The more I tinker with it, the more interesting it gets.

The site is called SportsInsights.com.”

The article analyzed five NFL match-ups using SportsInsights’ philosophy of studying the sports marketplace in search of contrarian value.  These selections happened to go 3-2 against the spread this past weekend.

ESPN’s Millman also wrote:

SportsInsights doesn't even look like a sports-focused website. Its homepage seems more suited as an instrument for tracking the financial marketplace. And its philosophy isn't based on doling out advice, but tracking the money and the moves so you can make your own decisions.”
