What Sports Bettors Should Know for Thursday, May 15

1. NBA

– The Heat and Spurs both closed out their respective series Wednesday night and will move on the Conference Finals. Unfortunately for San Antonio, PG Tony Parker left in the first half of their game with a hamstring injury and is officially listed as questionable for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.

– Steve Kerr has spurned the Knicks and instead agreed to a five-year, $25 million offer to become the next head coach of the Warriors.    

 

2. MLB  

– Wednesday’s Cubs/Cardinals and Padres/Reds games were both postponed due to rain. Chicago and St. Louis will play a makeup game on August 30th while San Diego and Cincinnati will play a day/night doubleheader today.

– Injuries 

 

3. NHL

– After closing out the Bruins in last night’s Game 7 in Boston, the Canadiens have opened as small favorites in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
