NBA – Thursday’s Big Games

There are just two NBA games this evening, but these are huge games — with a lot of focus on big match-ups and huge storylines… Tonight’s NBA lineup pits the red-hot Miami Heat against a very strong Chicago Bull team.  In addition, a Melo-less Nuggets team gets to test its mettle against the Celtics — in Denver.

These games are attracting a lot of interest, and below we highlight these two games:

  • The Miami Heat continues their hot play since their lackluster start.  They are visiting the Chicago Bulls, who are getting no respect – at home.  Most bets are taking the Heat — and this constant pounding of bets on Miami has pushed the line from Miami -1 at CRIS all the way to Miami -3.  That is a lot of contrarian line movement value.
  • Similarly, many sports fans think that the Knicks improved by leaps and bounds by obtaining Carmelo Anthony.  While this may be true, the Nuggets appear to have improved as well.  However, the typical sports fan does not believe this to be true, with a huge number of bets taking the Celtics.  This has made the visiting Celtics a -4.5 to -5-point favorite, visiting the Nuggets.
