NBA Playoffs: Game 7 Betting Trends

NBA Playoffs: Game 7 Betting Trends

We’re still in the first round of the NBA playoffs, but already this has been one of the most entertaining postseasons in years. There were four overtime games in the Grizzlies/Thunder series, the Mavs are looking to become just the sixth 8-seed to upset the 1-seed, and the Clippers have dealt with the distraction of having their owner banned for life by the league.

On Thursday, the Pacers, Warriors, and Thunder were all looking to force a Game 7 and all three succeeded. Friday night saw the Nets, Mavericks, and Rockets trying to do the same and only Houston was denied, losing on a buzzer-beater three by Damian Lillard. You can track all the latest odds and betting percentages for these games from our free betting trends page.

Since 2005, there have been just 26 Game 7’s during the NBA playoffs, but there are 5 this year in the first round alone, tying a league record for most in one playoff season. Using our Bet Labs software, we have analyzed some of the most profitable Game 7 betting trends to determine which teams may be offering bettors value this weekend. Note: With such a small sample size it’s best not to place too much stock in these results.
